Summer ... Mini XD but many long post. These are mini reviews of films that I saw on vacation. Comments are very welcome.
9 ... A short film which, while lasting a hour seems too long is not a big deal. I love animated films, and I can not say that this is a bad film. The level of animation is excellent, the direction is pretty good (although not reaching minimal levels Pixar). The problem is the basic idea, botched and too confusing, so much so quickly pass by the intriguing incomprehensible. Simply you can not feel sympathy for the characters that you do not understand the source.

Alvin Superstar 2
Ok, not that I expected a masterpiece of the century, but even that was a big disappointment. The first chapter was a minchiatina funny, but here is exaggerated a bit 'too much ....

Lovely Bones
Here you go hard on. I love Peter Jackson (more in his pre-Lord of the Rings, without taking anything away from that great film), but here is half a patch. Basically the film is about a girl who is murdered by a serial killer his neighbor, and from the other side trying to communicate with his father and others in order to punish him for what he did ... At least that seemed from the trailer. The film actually separates the net too mystical dimension of the afterlife with the concrete reality, and the first is far too visionary kitsch, a little context. Too bad, because it seemed a return to the glories of Creature From the Sky. A praise to the interpretation of Stanley Tucci, really extraordinary.

Capitan America
Mamma mia. Mamma mia. Mamma mia. I say no more. An appeal to production companies: If you have neither the money nor the skills to make some movies, do not let them, please ....

Decameron Pie
No comment. Was at least funny ... but it is not even that. A hodgepodge of genres, vulgarity at random and embarrassing interpretations (Tim Roth, then explain to me why you signed ...)

FAQ About Time Travel
Finally, a positive review. A small thing but it works very well. Co-produced by BBC and HBO (it feels much more the first one), is a little ironic science fiction film about time travel. A simple plot, not pretentious, it works very well and is quite fun. Recommended. Note: mentions Doctor Who and Firefly, I could not love him ....

Following the onset of the great Christopher Nolan, shot 4 / 3 and in a beautiful black and white (do not know whether intentionally or for reasons of budget), is a small and short thriller that clearly draws the style of the 60s. I can not say I found it extraordinary, but definitely worth a viewing.

I love Apatow's Funny People. I love his style of comedy marked in all its productions, some of the most entertaining and intelligent comedies of the last years. In this film turns a bit 'more commitment, without exaggerating, telling the story of a comedian (Adam Sandler) who, after being found ill try to tidy up his messy life, with the help of another rookie comedian (Seth Rogen). Excellent performances, the film is often very touching. Two major flaws, however, the excessive length (nearly two and a half hours for a movie like this are far too many) and Rogen's character, whose role in history is unclear and confusing. But absolutely recommend it.

Galaxy Quest
I had seen but I saw him happy. A tribute / parody of Star Trek, funny and well done, but nothing exceptional.

So. I loved the two Crank the madness in their being disproportionately tamarri to levels achieved by the same authors and this film is no exception. But unlike its predecessors, it takes quite seriously, and this thing just goes with the style of its authors. The resulting film is potentially very interesting (though not original, it must be said) but that is exceedingly fast and confusing. However, as I love those two crazy turn of Neverdine and Taylor.

Allen Hollywood Ending. I said it all. Nothing memorable, with some very questionable choices (the blindness of the protagonist lasted too), but damn funny and clipboard-level beats.

The Wizard of Oz
Oh, I had not seen a kid I saw him just now. Hog dog films, will cost a fucking time. Imponentissima and achieving incredible for the time, but Fleming, who was not the last idiot, if they could afford. Nice nice nice.

Hotel Chevalier + The Darjeeling Limited Wes Anderson
is an author to watch. Certainly the most representative (also IMHO the best) director of the American indie scene, has set his penultimate film (the last is The Fantastic Mr. Fox, who have yet to see but which is obviously far from his usual style) in India, a journey of training carried out by three brothers. His style is marcatissimo, his truck movements are great. I liked it a lot. I understand they have chosen to separate from the rest of Hotel Chevalier, this mini-prologue to the film has a style that would be out of tune with the rest, being much more erotic comic. And thanks to Wes Anderson for the first nude scene of Natalie Portman. Thank you thank you thank you.

The Truth 'and' they do not like enough
I expected was a romantic comedy, which I like very much, and instead turned out to be a drama on the themes of the couple. A cast layer (Aninston, Johannson, Barrymore, Connelly, Affleck ...) and definitely part of it. Not great but not bad.

Lightspeed
not spend too many words on this huge crap. It 's all wrong, the idea (a superhero who runs faster than light and you see that move? In a second is supposed to make five times around the Earth ...), the casting, the screenplay, the costumes (brrrrr ), director. Mamma mia. And do not believe that the idea is Stan Lee.

Little Miss Sunshine
Other indie films, definitely more challenging than that of Anderson, with a great Steve Carell into a dramatic role. Definitely not light, but not even a brick indigestible. That is certainly a vision.

Lord of the Rings - The Return of The Godfather - Part 1
is ok, this is a bit 'an outsider. In my opinion is the best of the three so far, with fewer scenes cult (Gollum / Condom caga that remains unrivaled in the first) but more constant.

Pi Greek - The Teorema Del Delirio
Here. This has left me a bit 'thrilled. Aronosfsky is certainly not an author for all tastes, with the possible exception of the last great The Wrestler, and this has made its debut. The idea is not bad, but I found a bit 'too crude and the pseudo-religious delirium finish is way too tacky.

Fantastic Planet 51. A science fiction movie in which the point of view is that the aliens and in which humans play the role of the invaders. E 'an animation film, so this was very ironic. Dense with quotations, is terribly funny, Highly recommended.

Bloody Valentine
I saw the first remake, bad, and then the original. What is perhaps worse. It's not the years, not the budget. In recent years, under identical conditions, were made Nightmare and Halloween. It 'just a fucking movie, and by the way the protagonist is extremely hateful.

Sicko Michael Moore's crazy. I loved all his works, I miss to see only Roger & Me Maybe this is the least beautiful, but still substantial and very impressive. The American health situation is very disturbing. To see, along with her other films, dissects the American myth.
Men Who Hate Women
In these leave before I devoured the book and after I saw the movie, I will make two separate mini reviews.
Paper: The initial impression was that he had a bad front page, because the writing was botched and the plot and characterization Scarsini. Instead, things improve significantly going forward, you feel a strong empathy with the characters and the plot is very engaging, with an ending not with a bang (and does not even pretend to be, you know Dan Brown?) But certainly not trivial and well managed .
Film: lying in wait with his inutilissimo Fincher (Fincher love, but it is evident) American remake. The movie is Swedish, and this allows him to not follow the rules of Hollywood production. The film reaches the two and a half hours, and with a choice condivisibilissima is developed only the main plot of the survey, cut very short (even at the level of tones) and being faithful to novel, exploiting the potential of the film (among other things, the story lends itself, as the images are of fundamental importance in the plot). A good casting and excellent performances. I was really pleased.
